Selector! takes inspiration from music so it's only fitting we take the time to promote some in return! The UK's Roots Manuva, is back at it again with a new album on the horizon. The son of Jamaican parents, Manuva's music transcends hip-hop, dancehall and much more. Check him inna reggae stylee here. When you consider he does his own production, his body of work is truly astounding.

Selector JD at Deadly Dragon Sound put me on to this episode of Ross Kemp on Gangs wich sees the British actor-turned-journalist head to Jamaica in order to investigate the tragically high murder rate there.

The people behind hipster bible Vice magazine have put together a remarkably interesting look at the current dancehall scene in Jamaica, sort of from a newcomer's perspective.
