Beware Dub

Just spotted this over on the Stones Throw site…and I’m glad I did. Stones Throw and Dub Club (a super well-respected LA area weekly reggae event series) have teamed up to release Signs and Wonders in Dub, a 10 track release of new songs from JA sound system legends like Tippa Lee.

Night Nurse Remix

Trying to remix an absolute classic like “Night Nurse” by Gregory Isaacs can be a pretty risky business. Competing with the original can be a tall order. Check out this interesting stripped down mix of said classic by Necessary Mayhem. It’s really interesting and worth a listen. Via Boomshots.

Protoje – I&I

Protoje is a great artist outta JA, who was nice enough to support Selector earlier in his career – consistently wearing our gear on stage, during interviews, and for video shoots. So the least we can do is help spread the word about his latest effort, The 8 Year Affair, which is available on iTunes. He just released a video for “I&I”…check it out.

Thankful

I-Octane fans might want to get to clicking, and head over to Boomshots with the quickness. Why? They’ve just shared his latest mixtape, “Thankful Part 2.”
